A Cross Learning Workshop on the Institutionalisation of Safeguarding in Social Ministry was organised by Caritas Asia in Jakarta from 26–28 November 2025, and graciously hosted by Caritas Indonesia. Caritas India actively participated in the programme, joining members from across the region to strengthen collective learning on safeguarding.The workshop offered participants valuable practical and experiential insights into integrating safeguarding principles within organisational structures and programme delivery. Through field visits and interactions with the Caritas Indonesia team, participants observed real-time safeguarding practices and understood how existing challenges were effectively transformed into opportunities for building stronger, more accountable systems.This exposure further enhanced participants’ understanding of prevention measures, reporting mechanisms, and the importance of community engagement in ensuring safe and responsive social ministries.
