On 16th February 2026, KROSS, in collaboration with Caritas India and 14 Diocesan Social Service Societies of Karnataka, organized the Volunteering Engagement and Orientation Program of the Sparsha Ambassadors at the KROSS Resource Centre, Bangalore. The program highlighted the vision, objectives, and impact of the Sparsha Initiative, along with updates on volunteer engagement, resource mobilization, and previous outreach efforts. A key session by Dr. Rakesh Ramesh from St. John’s Medical College Hospital focused on cancer awareness, early detection, prevention, and practical guidance on identifying early warning signs of breast cancer.The afternoon session emphasized strategic volunteerism and resource mobilization, guiding participants on effective resource mapping and strengthening community engagement. The program concluded with the preparation of a six-month action plan, reinforcing the commitment of volunteers and social workers to expand cancer awareness initiatives across their respective dioceses.
