Zonal Training on Women’s Inclusive Participation and Leadership in Local Governance

A two-day Zonal Training on Women’s Inclusive Participation and Leadership in Local Governance was held on 11–12 June 2026 at the KROSS Resource Centre, Bangalore. The training was attended by 34 women participants from seven DSSSs.The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Wilfred D’Souza, who provided valuable insights into the Panchayat Raj System and the importance of women’s leadership in local governance. The programme enhanced participants’ understanding of their roles and responsibilities in promoting inclusive and effective governance at the grassroots level. The discussions fostered greater awareness about inclusive leadership and empowered the participants to take on more active roles in their respective Panchayats and communities.The training concluded with participants expressing their commitment to actively contribute to community development and local decision-making processes
